Born and raised in Islamabad, Pakistan, Abdul developed an early commitment to service, participating in numerous community projects and earning the rank of Eagle Scout. He came to the United States in 1998 and, after completing high school, attended community college before earning a master’s degree in Information Systems.
Abdul is the founder and President & CEO of Centex Technologies, an IT consulting firm he established in 2006 specializing in digital modernization and cybersecurity. He is also a Co-Founder of Rehza, an AI-powered homeownership platform designed to connect builders and homeowners throughout the life of a home. In addition, he founded Subhani Capital, an investment firm focused on high-growth startups and mid-market companies, and co-founded Texian Capital, a private credit and equity firm providing construction financing solutions to small businesses across Central Texas. Across these ventures, Abdul brings together technology, investment, and entrepreneurship to build businesses, solve problems, and create new opportunities.
Abdul’s technology expertise has also led to select advisory roles in national security and defense innovation. Since 2019, he has served as the Civilian Aide to the Secretary of the Army for Texas. He has also served as Distinguished Chair of Innovation and Senior Advisor to the Superintendent of the United States Military Academy at West Point and as a technology advisor supporting international collaboration on emerging technologies. These roles complement a career centered on applying technology and innovation to complex organizational challenges.
Community service has remained a significant part of Abdul’s work. He is involved with the Exchange Club, AdventHealth Hospital Community Advisory Board, and the Chancellor’s Council Cabinet of the Texas A&M University System. He previously served as Chairman of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Texas and continues to support the organization as HR Committee Chair.
His business and community leadership has earned recognition at the local, state, and national levels. His honors include the State of Texas Small Business Award, the Exchange Club Golden Deeds Award, the Fast 50 Asian American Business Award, and the Texas A&M University–Central Texas Distinguished Legacy Alumni Award. Centex Technologies has also been recognized multiple times on the Inc. 5000 list of America’s fastest-growing private companies. In 2026, Abdul received the Fort Hood Good Neighbor Award for his sustained support of the military community and regional partnerships.
His commitment to education and community investment has produced a lasting impact in Central Texas. In 2023, Texas A&M University–Central Texas named the Subhani Computer Information Systems Department in his honor and established the Ruqayya Zubair Faculty Fellowship in honor of his mother. In 2024, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Texas opened the Subhani Family Clubhouse in recognition of his family’s contributions to the organization and community.
Abdul is the author of three books on online safety and security and has written and spoken extensively on technology, cybersecurity, entrepreneurship, innovation, and leadership. His work reflects a consistent belief that technology and business can be powerful tools for solving problems, strengthening organizations, and creating lasting opportunities for communities.
